The program “One Light Wonder” is for aspiring newborn photographers looking to elevate their craft to the next level and beyond. Nikita will take the audience on a behind the scenes tour of how to creatively work with studio lighting using a one light setup while opening their eyes to both artistic compositions as well as natural and relaxed moments. Ultimately, this program will offer the audience the essential tools to push themselves to safely create bold, beautiful and timeless newborn photography for their clients. Please bring your camera and remote triggers for a hands-on experience. Our intimate studio space will be warm taking newborn portraits so please dress lightly. Please bring a sack lunch or be able to get lunch during the 30min break, as well as, bring snacks and beverages for the day.
Nikita is an award - winning portrait photographer based in Manhattan, Kansas who specializes in maternity, birth, and newborn. She began her photography business 10 years ago as a “mom with a camera”. With a determined work ethic and tenacious personality, she grew her part-time business in her dining room to her full-time 1500 square foot studio while multiplying her sales average year after year. Nikita is a proud member of Professional Photographers of America and has earned her Certified Professional Photographer. She is also newborn safety certified. She is known for her breath-taking portraits combining gorgeous gowns and props with dramatic styled lighting and poses.
