FEATURED SPEAKER Dan Francis M.Photog. Cr., CPP - The Art of the Visual Narrative
In this presentation I will talk about how personal projects can be beneficial to you and to your growth as a photographer.
We’ll go over ways to create new story ideas and ways to bring your vision to life.
I’ll also talk about how creating personal projects can help with your client work and get hired doing what you love.
Items that I’ll also cover is: Theme and concept, choosing your team, model releases, model search, lighting and style, timeline, budget and imager terms.
Dan Francis (Fargo, North Dakota) is a Master Photographer, Photographic Craftsman and a Certified Professional Photographer based out of Fargo, ND. He was an instructor in Photography and Photoshop at a local college for eight years while still running his small business.
He specializes in Commercial and Professional Portraits.
He began his art in High School taking all eight classes of Art that were offered. He learned the rules of color, mood, patience, and creative thinking. In College, he brought his art into the digital world by graduating with honors in Graphic Design. After graduating from college, he worked at a photography studio for six years continuing his vision through the camera. Dan's work has been seen around the world through his website. He has owned his own photography business, located in downtown Fargo since 2008.
He has been a GIA nominee under the portrait category and in 2019 he was on Team USA and in the TOP 10 for the World Cup under the Digital Art category. He’s passionately obsessive over his career and looks to grow his art and will always be a student of this craft.
